What To Expect When We Install Your New Roof
At Sheeley Roofing, we pride ourselves on providing a seamless and stress-free roofing experience. Here’s a step-by-step overview of what you can expect when you choose us for your roofing needs:
1. Schedule Your Consultation
Start the process by scheduling your consultation. You can do this by filling out our Contact Form and a team member will contact you or you can call us directly. During the consultation, our roofing advisors will gather all necessary information, take photographs and measurements and inspect the attic if available. They will also walk you through the entire project process, present various material options, and assemble pricing.
2. Choose a Roofing Option from Consultation
During the consultation, you will have the opportunity to select your preferred roofing option. We have plenty of materials available such as standing seam metal, shingles, copper, and more! If your material is customizable, like shingles, you will get to choose colors and shapes. Once you’ve chosen your material, we then finalize the contract and collect your deposit.
3. Secure Permits & Materials and Target Installation Date
Once you have selected your roofing option, we will order the necessary materials, secure the required permits, and set a target date for installation.
4. Roof Replacement Begins
When the installation date arrives, we begin our comprehensive start-to-finish process:
Customer Preparation: Customer moves vehicles out of the driveway.
Site Preparation: We will temporarily relocate patio furniture, BBQs, and other items out of harm’s way.
Protective Measures: We hang tarps from the roof edges to protect your home’s siding and landscaping.
Roof Removal: We will remove all existing roofing down to the wood decking.
Inspection & Repairs: Inspect and re-secure the wood decking, performing any necessary carpentry work to ensure a sound foundation.
Underlayment Installation: Apply ice and water shield and synthetic felt to “dry-in” the house, protecting it and you from the elements.
Roof Installation: Install the roofing material selected during your consultation.
Final Clean-Up: Finally, before we leave the site, we remove any excess materials and debris, and perform a magnetic walk-through to pick up loose nails.
5. Wrap-Up
After the installation is complete, we schedule any necessary final inspections, close out the permit, register your warranty, and collect any final balances.
